Procedure Step Description Required Documents
a For protected species, the Director of National  Parks and Wildlife will require the person to produce a valid certificate of ownership of the species. The process of obtaining a fresh certificate of ownership is as follows  
ii Exporter must go to Department of National Parks and Wildlife with an application letter and government receipt showing that he legally obtained the material to be exported.  
iii The exporter must pay the prescribed fees  
iii The Director will then issue a certificate of ownership  
b The Exporter must pay a fee (K3,000.00 each if Malawian and US$50 if non Malawian). See National Parks and Wildlife (Fees) Ammendment Regulations, 2011, 2nd Schedule, Permit Fees  
c The permit is issued with prescribed conditions.
